Have you heard of Bubblegum Alley?
There is a place in California in the city of San Luis Obispo called Bubblegum Alley.
In 1960 the sticky gum began to appear on walls right outside of businesses. No one is quite sure how it started but the possibility of a Senior class prank from the local high school is one theory.
People complained about the mess but the gum just kept on showing up.
Eventually the leftover gum just kept piling thicker on the walls and has survived at least two clean ups. Sometimes you can see words or pictures that have been made with the gum.
Some businesses now have bubble gum machines inside their store just in case you want to add to the foray.
What do you think...sticky icky mess or art?
Tell me in a blog comment.
